July 2023: All the latest Yandex updates
Recently, Yandex launched another new type of advertising in search. The mini-banner will be shown to the right of the SERP and expand its reach to more than 80 million users. The new format doesn’t compete with performance-based advertising and covers the sites of many popular niches, such as «Business and Finance», «Cars», etc. A smaller mini-banner than the already popular one premium-banner among advertisers, but this novelty is also highly effective. Yandex testers say that the new banner format increases brand recognition among users by 29%.
The feature pairs well with the previous update launched in June. Yandex developed a special banner placed under the search box that is used only on the page ya.ru and shown to more than 50 million potential customers who use the Yandex Browser.
The second important update concerns developing bilateral cooperation with Telegram. Now it is much easier to deliver posts to the target audience through messenger, thanks to the new technology of Yandex Direct. The service offers ad copy and creative creation, targeting, and performance analysis. Telegram in turn offers to place Yandex advertising posts in their channels, which allows neuronetworks of Yandex to find suitable channels on the topic and the most appropriate ads. Ad posts will be published by a special Yandex bot. The post with a picture or video contains a link to the landing or website of the advertised product.
And finally the latest news. Yandex started working closely with foreign vendors and stores. For the first time, Russian buyers can buy goods and products from abroad on the Yandex Market marketplace. Many brands from Asia and other countries will be available directly from manufacturers without intermediaries. It is planned to attract up to 1000 sellers by the end of the year. Suppliers with unique products are of most interest to the trading platform.
