The previous poll of the first half of 2018 showed Yandex Webmaster in the third place, and Metrics – in the fourth. Google Search Console held the second place, and the first place was given to the webmaster's wits, knowledge, skilled hands, diligence, and persistence.

In the current poll, Google Search Console has left the top 5, giving way to a website scanner Screaming Frog (previously held the 8th place in the rating). Yandex WordStat also gave way in the top 5 to the Key Collector.

Yandex Metrica has been using the Crypta technology to define gender and age of users based on their behavior on the Internet, not from their registration data, since 2011.

Crypta is Yandex's own development based on Matrixnet, a machine learning method at the core of Yandex search ranking formula.

On the topic on Metrica Yandex has recently reported that advertisers now have an opportunity to add data on displays and income from video formats to Metrics' reports on monetization. It will allow understanding how income is connected with the visitor’s behavior on websites and to find new ways to increase feedback from platforms.

In Metrics there are 6 types of reports available, among them are advertising events pages, which show the most profitable materials; sources, which show where the most involved audience comes from; geography, which shows regions with the most favorable traffic for the website; devices and browsers display problems with commercials display; and presence of ad blockers.

Statistics arrives within a day. In any of six available reports on monetization, it is possible to choose the required platform.
